Welcome to my ninth lifestyle report including income, personal expenses, blog statistics and learnings reports. If you’re curious why and how I started monthly lifestyle report, study my first lifestyle report. Here’s the April report.
May was one of the most hectic months so far. The beginning of the month I spent in Ko Lanta working out of KoHub. I was honored to be interviewed for the upcoming documentary about the lifestyle that will hopefully come out later this year.
After Ko Lanta, I packed my stuff and flew to Colombo where I explored the beautiful island of Sri Lanka for a week together with Justas and Egle. On May 17th all of us relocated to Hanoi until the end of the month where I was joined by my girlfriend.
Read on to find out how much I earned, spent, slept, exercised and much more.
I believe it was the most profitable month so far. A lot of payments came at the same time and totaled $5,693.18 after business expenses and taxes.
Even though I was traveling all around Sri Lanka, explored various restaurants in Hanoi with my girlfriend, I spent slightly less than last month. Below is a full breakdown.
Sleep & fitness
My early morning routine was highly disrupted due to constant travels. However, I managed to squeeze in some exercise and enough sleep. Here are some statistics from the last month.
I came to peace with the fact that I can not be productive and travel extensively at the same time. May was less productive but an enjoyable month.
RescueTime is a little app that sits quietly inside of your laptop and tracks everything you do. Then, it automatically assesses productive and distracting activity and gives you a productivity score. I consider it a good day if my productivity pulse is over 55. Below are my stats from May.
Social media and blog stats
I worked a lot on my social media growth focusing mostly on Twitter and Instagram. After Instagram shut down Instagress and started shadowbanning more aggressively, my engagement dropped enormously. Right now, I am exploring engagement pods to increase my engagement.
Articles, books, videos & tools
Last month I read The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone, The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing by Al Ries and 10% Happier by Dan Harris. I found it hard to read and decided to abandon Self-Reliance and Other Essays by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
